Access to Main Port of Kalymnos Island

The access road planning for port expansion at Pothia of Kalymnos was included in the deliverables submitted to the engineering design competition for the preliminary planning study of Kalymnos Port, launched by the Municipal Port Authority of Kalymnos.

The functional upgrading of the existing breakwater and the consequent shift of port traffic load from the main operating quay to the new external berth resulted in the need for a specialized road planning study. The main objective of the study was to safely connect the existing road infrastructure with the new berth.
