Nea Koutali Village - Lemnos Island

The fishing harbor of Nea Koutali is one of the oldest port facilities in Limnos Island. The first infrastructures were constructed at the beginning of the 20th century and since then, further additions and expansions were built.

Due to the harbor long term use and to inadequate protection from southern and southern east winds, the existing port facilities suffered serious damage that led to poor berthing circumstances for local fishing vessels.

In 2004, the Prefecture of Northern Aegean contracted the consulting partnership offices led by Albert Paul Yamin, the design of the expansion and general upgrade of the existing fishing harbor. The study was completed in 2010.
