Platis Gialos Village - Sifnos Island

Platis Gialos Bay is located on the south side of Sifnos Island and it is the second largest bay after Kamares. Like many Islands in the Cyclades, Sifnos suffered from a shortage of berths to harbor local fishing vessels and pleasure boats.

As part of the effort to organize and improve the existing island's port infrastructure, in 2001 the Public Works Department of the South Aegean Prefecture contracted the consulting partnership offices led by Albert Yamin and Associates, the design of a new fishing port.
