ΕNVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING

The environmental preservation aspect of construction has gained much attention over the past years. The interest that people and the State demonstrate for Sustainable Development, has led to greater expectations in Environmental Engineering Design. In order to compile a factual Environmental Impact Statement, the complete records of environmental parameters of the design area need to be investigated and considered when analyzing the construction impacts. This task demands the participation of many specialist engineers with experience in different fields of professional activity.

CNWAY has the experience and qualifications for integrated Environmental Design, which is demanded for the design and construction of infrastructure projects.

Environmental Design it is not just engineering, it is about preservation of the environment. In CNWAY we consider the environment in all office processes. In evidence of our sensitivity in environmental issues, we recycle an estimated 98% of the waste paper, dispose all old electronic equipment to the recycling agent (Appliances Recycling S.A.) and evaluate the new appliances according to energy efficiency.

	Environmental Design of Ports and Coastal Projects
	Coastal projects may interfere with the natural sediment transport equilibrium thus leading to changes in the coastal morphology. A Coastal Engineering Study of the containing coastal cell has to be carried out, in order to investigate the potential interference resulting from the construction of works. An Environmental Impact Assessment for a coastal structure, although it is carried out as an environmental project, it requires specialized knowledge on coastal processes. Our skills in Environmental Engineering and the excellent knowledge on coastal projects enable CNWAY to deal with complicated coastal problems and elaborate proper solutions. CNWAY owns state-of-the-art simulation software, which allows thorough study and evaluation of alternative solutions.
